Contrary to popular belief, sensitive or emotional and moody people, don’t need to be with other sensitive people because that can be emotionally draining and even volatile. Rather sensitive people should connect with those who are sensitive to their sensitivity. Their understanding and attentiveness will result in balance and peace.
Seek mutual attraction, interests, engagement and investment in relationships. Stop aggressively pursuing people who have no interest in you or your best interests. Their “no” might be a blessing in disguise. Put a timetable on your pursuit.
Compatibility Counts!
Scripture:
2 Corinthians 6:14
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
Leviticus 19:19
Ye shall keep my statutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind: thou shalt not sow thy field with mingled seed: neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woollen come upon thee.
Deuteronomy 22:10-11
10 Thou shalt not plow with an ox and an ass together.
11 Thou shalt not wear a garment of divers sorts, as of woollen and linen together.
Prayer
Lord, help me to understand that I am not made for everyone and everyone is not made for me. Help me to attract those with whom I’m compatible and those who will align me with your will for my life. Fill me wisdom and the courage to reject those with whom I’m incompatible. Grant me patience and peace, until my change comes. AMEN.
