UNITY IN THE COMMUNITY
“TOGETHER, WE CAN FEED A FAMILY” Food & Blanket Drive
Dear Friend and Community Partner,
As we move into the winter season, many families in our Woodlawn community and surrounding neighborhoods are facing increased hardship. Rising costs, reduced SNAP benefits, and ongoing instability have made it difficult for many to meet even the most basic needs—food, warmth, and safety.
At Concord Missionary Baptist Church and the Concord Community Organization (CCO), we believe no family should struggle alone. We are a community that shows up for one another. That is why we are launching our annual Unity in the Community: “Together, We Can Feed a Family” Food and Blanket Drive.
This year, we are collecting:
- $50 Grocery Store Gift Cards (From either Jewel, Fairplay, Aldi, or Walmart)
- New Warm Blankets
Every gift card goes directly to a family so they can purchase the groceries most appropriate for their household. Every blanket offers warmth, dignity, and care to someone navigating the cold winter months.

Why Your Support Matters
Your contribution does more than meet material needs—it sends a message of solidarity, care, and shared humanity. It reminds our neighbors experiencing hardship that they are seen, valued, and not alone.
Together, we can ensure families have what they need to make it through this season with warmth, nourishment, and hope.
Thank you in advance for your generosity and partnership in love, justice, and community care.
With gratitude and hope,
