New Years Eve Message.

Isaiah 43:19 (KJV) Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV) Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away ; behold , all things are become new.

Revelation and Foundational Truth:

God is a God of tradition, but he is also a God of change, transition and New Things….

Many of God’s people will make New Years resolutions to change tonight.  We have good intentions.  But lack the information and inspiration, to live out the resolution.  If we don’t do any thing differently in 2016, we will still be in:

  • Dead end relationships.
  • Dead end jobs.
  • Still in debt.
  • Still suffering from unforgiveness.
  •  Still have a jacked up perspective of yourself.
  •  Still dealing with that same habit you’ve been trying to break for years.

The truth of the matter is that, far too  many of us will wake up in  2016 in the same place, posture and position that you’ve woke up in for the past year. Nothing will change unless you change.

“You have to be the change you want to see In the world.” Mahatma Gandhito

3 Things (Steps) Required for Change: (I’m just going to give you a little bit)

  1. Readiness to change – Mama use to say that when you get tired of being sick and tired. You will change. Sometimes it takes extreme circumstance to catapult you into change. Readiness, involves being sick and tired and having a made up mind to change. It also involves having resources to initiate and sustain the change. Do you have the resources and knowledge to successfully make a lasting change?
  1. Identify and remove the barriers to change – Is there anything preventing you from changing? You have to realize that there maybe people in your life that don’t want to see you change. Change is good for you, but from their position they don’t see it as good for them. I’ve learn that most people won’t help you grow or change, unless it’s going to benefit them in some way.
  1. Expect and prepare for relapse!  In order to succeed you need a failure contingency plan, that addressed the question, “What happens if I relapse?”.  How do you get back on track?  Most plans fail, not only because we fail to plan, but because we fail to have a contingency plan!
  2. Change!  Just do it!

Further contemplation.

People don’t dislike change, they dislike being changed.  There is always loss with change.  So therefore, the benefit of change must be greater than ones current satisfaction plus the pain to change!

I’m invested in your transformation.  Here is my mission and motto:

My Mission:

Helping individuals and couples passionately pursue and reach their God-given potential and destiny.

My Motto:

Changing lives and dying empty!
