About the Author: 

Dianna was born and raised in Chicago, where she attended Dixon Elementary School. She spent her freshman year at Hirsch High School and the next two at Fenger Academy High School, dropping out in her third year to help her mother after her father’s death.At age 50, she returned to school to complete her GED at Midwest Theological Institute and then attended college online, completing an associate degree in information technology and visual communication. Driven to learn more, she completed a Bachelor of Science in human services management and a Master of Science in psychology.Her mother, Lillian McCoy, has significantly influenced her success, but two others truly encouraged her to reach for the sky. Her pastor, Reverend Dr. Kenneth D. Phelps, whom she has known for over 22 years, encouraged her return to school, and her husband, Deacon Albert Davis, has been by her side throughout her book-writing journey.Without these three role models and cheerleaders, this book would never have been written. Dianna lost her mother in 2018 but knows that she would have been proud of her accomplishment.
